About The Author

A young man with light skin, short brown hair, and a neutral expression, standing against a plain gray background, wearing a black long-sleeve button-up shirt and gray pants with a brown belt, with arms crossed.

Tyler F.M. was born and spent most of his life in the American Midwest, but in early 2025 moved with his wife to Europe.

From early in his childhood, he was drawn to medieval fantasy through toy swords, actions figures, and seeing snippets of fantasy movies on the TV.

Beginning at a young age, Tyler entered the Young Author’s program in elementary school with a debut picture book Captain Waddles’ Adventure, a tale about a crew of pirate penguins.

In his adult life, Tyler continues to strive for the life that makes his beloved fantasy genre great: adventure, enchantment, and action. In 2022, he converted to the Catholic Church, finding it to be the true representation of the highest ideals, full of its own strange tales, saint stories, and folklore.

In his free time, Tyler is also an active practitioner of Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), in particular longsword from the tradition of Joachim Meyer.

Inspired by Western myth and Eastern storytelling, Tyler seeks to blend the two. If you’re tired of the endless churn of super hero movies and halfhearted remakes, then Tyler’s stories are for you.

With a small collection of short stories on the web (ranging in topic from post-apocalyptic ocean planets to time traveling cowboys), Tyler is now debuting his biggest writing project yet: Glorybound.
